“ANGEL’S IN THE AIR” Helicopter Tour

ANGEL’s SHARE PRESENTS

The Ultimate Four Appellation/Four County Wine Tour

How can you visit four different wine appellations in four different counties in just a single day? And still have time to enjoy an exquisite gourmet lunch? By helicopter! Here’s the Ultimate Way to Tour the Wine Country in Grand Style.

We combine the spectacular scenery and beauty of Napa, Sonoma, Lake and Mendocino Counties with exquisite wines worthy of the true wine enthusiast. The scenery is just breathtaking. As you land you’ll be greeted by the winery owner, who will escort you to a private tasting room where you’ll savor premium wines from his own personal collection, which includes barrel samples and not yet released wines.

This exclusive tour is hosted by Mark Russo, founder and CEO of Angel’s Share, and is piloted by Wayne Lackey, owner of Wine Country Helicopters. You will be provided the utmost in “up close and personal”, hands-on service every step on the way.

We begin at 10AM at the Napa Valley Airport, board “Zinfandel 1” and depart North along the Silverado Trail and Vaca Range, past Atlas Peak, Lake Hennessey, and Howell Mountain, to one of California’s premiere wineries, O’Shaughnessy Winery. Here, you’ll meet owner Betty O’Shaughnessy and winemaker Sean Capiaux for a tour of the facility and a tasting of her extraordinary Cabernet Sauvignon.

During the flight, we’ll fly over numerous wineries, including, Opus One, Robert Mondavi, Niebaum-Coppola, Sterling, Mumm, Trefethen, Far Niente, Nichol & Nichol, Stag’s Leap, PlumpJack, Rombauer, Clos Pegase, Vine Cliff, Darioush, Artesa, and Domaine Carneros, to name just a few.

We will also fly over the Culinary Institute of America (Greystone), the American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts (COPIA), and the DiRosa Preserve.

After a leisurely stay with Ms. O’Shaughnessy, we lift off for our flight to Brassfield Estates in Lake County. Located on the Northeast side of Clear Lake beyond Mt. Konocti, this is a spectacular flight.

Here, Jerry Brassfield’s executive chef will prepare an exquisite lunch while Jerry and winemaker Kevin Robinson show you the 1500+ acre estate and regales us with the history of this estate, a former hunting preserve.

You’ll savor Jerry’s superb assortment of award winning wines along with your lunch. And listen to many of Jerry’s amazing stories!

After lunch, we’re again airborne, this time winging over the Mayacamas Mountains intot Mendocino County and the highly regarded Maple Creek Winery. The landing is on a hillside site with the winery below and the residence above. Owner and winemaker Tom Rodrigues will share his Artevino wines along with a special Sonoma cheese selection. Nudge Tom a little, and he will show you his art studio and his fascinating art works.

We again lift off, fly along the Coast Range, over Lake Sonoma and the Dry Creek Appellation in Healdsburg to Nalle Dry Creek Winery, where we land on the roof of his cave: an above ground cave covered in sage! As one of the original founders of ZAP (Zinfandel Advocates & Producers), owner and winemaker Doug Nalle is internationally known for his world class zinfandel wines. This is truly a treat to meet a legend in the wine industry, a highly successful vintner and a truly great guy.

Departing Nalle, we’ll fly Southeast down the Sonoma Valley, over the famous Russian River, Chalk Hill, Kenwood, Glen Ellen, and even over the historic Sonoma Town Square.

As we approach the Airport, you’ll see San Pablo Bay, Mt. Tamalpias, Mt. Diablo, and on a clear day you’ll see Alcatraz and the skyline of the City of San Francisco and the Piers of the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is absolutely the grandest winery tour available anywhere in the world, and, and can only be provided by Wine Country Helicopters in conjunction with Angel’s Share!
